It’s been a busy few months for our industry of late, with information-packed events held across the country from August through to December. Attendee numbers and feedback for all have been very positive, so it’s great news that information from the events is now being shared online.

A comprehensive range of presentation videos, PowerPoints and photos are now available to access 24/7 via the Olivebiz website, providing references, reminders and great memories for those who were there – and for those who couldn’t make it, an opportunity to share the knowledge imparted by the expert presenters.

2018 National Conference & Trade Exhibition coverage

2018 National Conference & Trade Exhibition attendees have praised the well balanced program of content provided by local and international speakers, which covered a wide range of olive industry relevant topics.

Presentation videos and PowerPoints of the plenary sessions are available, along with photos of the Conference, Super Saturday events and Trade Exhibition. And don’t miss the highlights video, which provides a great overview of the interactive learning, networking – and socialising – throughout the event.

IPDM Field Day coverage

The ongoing series of Integrated Pest & Disease Management (IPDM) field days is organised and run by the AOA in conjunction with Western Sydney University. Part of the olive levy project: An integrated pest and disease management extension program for the olive industry (OL17001), the program explores appropriate IPDM extension services focused particularly on black scale, olive lace bug and anthracnose.

Momentum has built as the program has progressed, with more than 50 growers attending the November field day at Roseworthy in South Australia. Attendee feedback has been positive from the outset, particularly for the high level of take-home information provided.

There’s plenty to learn if you weren’t able to make it: access the IPDM field day presentations here.

Videos of the Roseworthy IPDM Field Day will also be available shortly.
