Geoff Crawford, Chair of the New Zealand Olive Festival organising committee, has announced the postponement of the 2012 New Zealand Olive Festival. The decision was based on feedback from exhibitors that, due to this year’s harvest, they do not have sufficient products or oil and are therefore cutting back on marketing & promotional opportunities. Crawford said this season had been a particularly tricky one, with lower than expected yields resulting in less product to sell. It is expected that the olives and oil festival will return to Hawke’s Bay in some form in 2013. For more information contact Geoff Crawford at geoff@telegraphhill.co.nz or ph: +64 6 878 4460.
