Thanks to the great educative work of The Olive Wellness Institute (OWI), health professionals are increasingly aware of the health benefits of extra virgin olive oil. However, most know much less about the journey of growing olive trees through to producing high quality extra virgin olive oil, and how important the process is for the resultant taste, quality, and healthfulness of the oil.

The OWI’s next webinar aims to fill that information gap, providing guidance from one of the industry’s most knowledgeable experts, Claudia Guillaume.

General Manager of Modern Olives Laboratory, Claudia will take attendees through the journey of growing olive trees and producing extra virgin olive oil in Australia. She’ll also look at the factors that influence the taste and profile of extra virgin olive oil, and what to look out for when tasting.

Building on that aspect, Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian Emma Stirling will then delve into the culinary aspects of extra virgin olive oil, including creative and practical ways to incorporate it into cooking, and which varieties are suitable for different dishes.
