The Hunter Olive Association is organising and running the 2008 Hunter Valley Olive Show. This will be the fourth show with entries increasing from 32 in 2005 to 135 in 2007.
The Show has classes for extra virgin olive oils, flavour infused olive oils, table olives both plain and flavoured, as well as tapenades. A new class has been introduced for olives that have received special treatment such as baking or sun drying.
Entries for oils close on 15th August, and for table olives 29th August. Judging day is 6th September. The awards presentation night will be 25th September.
Award winning entries will be on public display during the Hunter Valley Feast of the Olive which is being held on 27th and 28th September.
