Entries for the 2012 New Zealand Extra Virgin Olive Oil Awards closed this week, with a total of 44 entries have been received – 16 in Commercial and 28 in Boutique. This year’s judging panel includes international Extra Virgin Olive Oil tasting experts from Spain, Australians and New Zealanders, giving even more prestige to the results which already provide a marketing boon for award recipients. The full results will be available on the Olives New Zealand website on 30 September and certificates will be posted on 1 October to those unable to attend the Awards Dinner. Late registrations for the Awards Dinner can be made until Friday, 21 September:  email Executive Officer Gayle Sheridan at admin@olivesnz.org.nz with the number wishing to attend.
