The 2015 Olives ZN Conference will be held on 28 March at the Sudima Auckland Airport Hotel, followed by two workshops on 29 March. Presenters and event details are:
Conference Day One – Best Practice Processing: Rafael Muela is a second generation olive grower and mill operator from Andalusia, Cordoba in Spain. Rafael will cover the best practices required in all aspects of processing to produce top quality extra virgin olive oil. For more information on Rafael. See more
Conference Day Two – Advanced Processors Workshop – Rafael will lead a practical workshop taking fresh olives to extra virgin olive oil, including using talc and enzymes, and an Enorossi 250 processing plant.
Product Diversification – Margi Kirkby from award winning Gwydir Olive Grove, New South Wales will focus on flavoured oils, table olives and other products. This workshop will include a hands-on activity making a flavoured oil. You are encouraged to bring along your own flavoured oils and other products for blind tasting and feedback.
