There are already great expectations for the forthcoming edition of SIMEI (International Enological and Bottling Equipment Exhibition) that will take place from 13 to 17 November 2007 in the new fairground of Fiera Milano, in the exhibition centre of Rho.
Created in 1963 as a highly specialized, biennial trade show, the 22nd edition of SIMEI will open its doors in the modern single-storey pavilions (9, 11, 13 and 15), arranged in sequence, in the futuristic Exhibition complex of Fieramilano, easily accessible from the near underground station and from the motorways.

With a gross surface of 82,000sq m, SIMEI is the largest, strictly specialized, international exhibition that contemporaneously shows all types of machines, equipment and plants for oenology and all types of machinery and plants for the production, bottling and packaging of beverages (wine, beer, liqueurs, brandies, vinegar, juices, alcohol, oil, mineral waters, soft drinks and so on). This event offers all the companies manufacturing the above equipment and plants the possibility to have at their disposal one single, extended international showcase for their exhibition promotion: an undeniable advantage for exhibitors, as well as for visitors, who will be all trade operators interested in the more and more advanced technologies.

The chosen formula has proved, over these 44 years, to be able to fully meet the requirements of a remarkably wide, industrial and commercial trade sector, to such an extent that SIMEI has achieved a steady, progressive success, attaining a consolidated, significant level of worldwide renown.

Indeed, the exhibiting companies are 778, the highest number ever reached, coming from 28 countries. A further increase is expected in the number of qualified visitors, who, in 2005, were 49,300, of whom 8,860 from abroad, coming from 100 countries of the five continents.

At the same time, Pavilion 24 will host the sixth edition of ENOVITIS (International Vine and Olive-Growing Technics Exhibition), the first Italian exhibition showcase entirely dedicated to vine-growing. For the first time, this year, this trade show will also be dedicated to olive-growing, presenting a complete overview of equipment, machines and products, from the grape vine cuttings to the most innovative systems for phytosanitary treatment, from the different machines for vineyard and olive grove working (tractors, grubbers, milling, hoeing and defoliating machines, pollers, etc.) to the grape-gathering machines and to the olive harvesters.
