On Friday 17 April the Shire of Melton hosted their annual business awards to celebrate local business in the area. Mt Atkinson Olive Grove & Cafe was successful in taking home the award for best Agri Business and Best Family Friendly Business.
Mt Atkinson Olive Grove has a fully licensed cafe on site, a fully functional olive oil processing facility and a number of products including its signature Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Greek Style Marinated Black Olives.
Other products in the range include Chilli, Garlic, Lemon, Orange, Rosemary, Black Pepper, Parmesan and Basil infused olive oil and Black, Green and Chilli Olives all available to purchase direct from the cafe.
The Cafe is fully licensed and boasts home-cooked meals at reasonable prices. Open every Friday evening, Saturday and Sundays visitors receive a complimentary olive oil and olive tasting on arrival and a tour of the facilities by request.
Mt Atkinson Olive Grove was also successful in winning the Family Friendly Business of the Year and has ramps offering easy access for prams, a swing set, high chairs and colouring-in activities for kids.
Mt Atkinson Olive Grove also organises Victoria’s Annual Olive Festival held on the third Sunday each year.
