Organisers of the World Congress on Oils and Fats and 28th ISF Congress have extended the earlybird deadline for registrations.

Organisers of the World Congress on Oils and Fats and 28th ISF Congress have extended the earlybird deadline for registrations.

Earlybird registrations, which represent a saving of nearly 20% on the normal Congress registration fee, will now close on Monday 13 July.

Sydney will this year host the World Congress on Oils and Fats and 28th ISF Congress from 27-30 September, an event which provides an important opportunity for the world’s oils and fats related scientific community to come together.

Congress Chair, Dr Rod Mailer, said the organisers had been notified by a number of delegates who were awaiting funding and organisational approval to attend the Congress which resulted in the extension of the earlybird deadline.

“We have developed a comprehensive congress program covering issues critical to many industries, including food and food service, health and nutrition, agriculture, biotechnology and the olive and canola oil industries.

“It’s important we take reasonable steps to allow as many delegates as possible to attend, which is why the earlybird deadline has been extended for two weeks,” Dr Mailer said.

Dr Mailer added that there were also a number of short courses available for delegates to attend, including a Deep Frying Symposium and courses on Lipid Oxidation and Antioxidants as well as Olive Oil.

“These short courses provide practical and hands-on training in key areas for the international oils and fats community and are a valuable inclusion in the congress program.
