At its July meeting, the AOA Board agreed to endorse a national Table Olive competition, the featured event at the Bendigo Olive and Food Fiesta, 14 March 2010, and thereafter annually.
The Greater Bendigo area includes groves responsible for over 50% of Australian Extra Virgin, and staging the competition in a large agribusiness centre has obvious advantages for both Bendigo and the table olive industry.
