The AOA is running a series of olive oil assessment and judges training courses in March 2014, with separate days covering Basic – Introduction to EVOO and Advanced – Assessment of EVOO. Those completing the advanced course can sit a proficiency test, and if passed will join the AOA’s list of accredited judges for future EVOO shows around Australia. Course dates are:
Sydney: Basic – Saturday, 1 March; Advanced – Sunday, 2 March
Melbourne – Basic – Saturday, 8 March; Advanced – Sunday, 9 March
Adelaide: Basic – Saturday, 15 March; Advanced – Sunday 16 March
Perth courses are being organised by the West Australian Olive Council and details are TBA.
The cost is Basic – $140 members, $182 non-members; Advanced – $160 members, $208 non-members; Both courses – $250 members, $325 non-members; 20% discount for three or more people from the same company. More information here.
