The closing date for ONZ Grove Census data to be included in the new 2014 report is 30 April. Showing comparisons of tree performance within a region and across regions for 2013, along with myriad other summarised data, the report will enable growers to make informed decisions about harvest timing and suitable tree varieties.  Details of trees removed or new plantings are required, along with 2013 harvest tonnage and yield figures. The 2014 report will be produced in May and made available to all who have participated, along with a free copy of the Olive Grove Product Costing Program (demonstrated at this year’s ONZ Conference), the chance to win a 5-litre fusti canister and the opportunity to be included in referrals for purchases of specific varieties of olives and EVOO. Members needing an additional copy of the Census or data already held on file should contact EO Gayle Sheridan via 06 8771 447 or admin@olivesnz.org.nz.
