Following up on our ‘taste’ in last fortnight’s FOE, here’s a run-down on the major award winners at this year’s AOA National EVOO and Table Olives Competition.

Best EVOO of Show – Redisland, Vic; Best Table Olives of Show – Australian Olive Company, SA.

Best of Class EVOOs: Class 1 Delicate – Olive Twist, Vic; Class 2 Medium – Redisland, Vic; Class 3 Robust – Mount Bernard Olives, Vic; Class 4 Non-Packaged – Nangkita Olives, SA; Class 5 Ultra Boutique – Cradle Coast Olives, Tas; Class 6A Citrus Flavoured – Alto Olives, NSW; Class 6B Other Flavoured – Cobram Estate, Vic.

Top State EVOO Awards: NSW – East Ridge Olive Grove; SA – Longridge Olives; Tas – Ashbolt Farm; Vic – Rusty Gate Estate; WA – Chapman River Olives.

Best of Class TO: Class 11 Green Olives – Alto Olives, NSW; Class 14 Kalamata Olives – The Australian Olive Company, SA; Class 18 Specialty Olives – The Australian Olive Company, SA.
