The Olive Wellness Institute is hosting the third in its series of webinars this month, discussing all things Mediterranean Diet, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Fertility.
Presented by Melanie McGrice, an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian and expert in nutrition, fertility, pregnancy and women’s health, the webinar will be held on Monday, 15 April from 12-1pm AEDT. The information and insights presented, which will be built upon during the ensuing discussion session, will enable participants to:
- detail the connection between nutrition and fertility
- understand the importance of nutrition during pre-conception
- summarise the current evidence related to the Mediterranean Diet, EVOO and fertility
- discuss EVOO, vitamin E and fertility.
Part of the olive levy project Educating health professionals about Australian olive products (OL17002), the webinars are just one element of the Olive Wellness Institute’s work to spread the word about the health benefits of EVOO and olive products. The first two in the series – Extra Virgin Olive Oil: A Focus on the Most Current Evidence and a Lifestyle Medicine Approach, presented by dietitians Professor Catherine Itsiopoulos and Dr Flavia Fayet Moore; and Olive Leaf Extract, A Clinical Overview in early February, presented by clinical herbalist, naturopath and educator Ian Breakspear – were resoundingly successful, attracting more than 230 attendees across the two events.

This third seminar will no doubt be just as popular and, while created specifically for health care practitioners, the information is relevant population-wide and the invitation to take part is also open to growers, producers, and industry friends and colleagues.
