The winners of the 2014 NZ EVOO Awards were announced at a dinner held at Parliament in Wellington on October 4. The coveted Andy Rosanowski Best in Show Trophy went to Kate and Mark Bunny of Loopline Olives, Wairarapa, while Best Boutique went to Jan Whyte and Niall Holland of Old French Road, Akaroa. Jan and Niall also won a second Best in Class, celebrating with fellow Best in Class winners River Grove, Olive2Oil, Moutohora and Kilrae Olives. The 2014 Best Processor award went to The Olive Press Ltd, with Best Label awarded to Juno Olives. ONZ executive officer Gayle Sheridan said entries were strong in both number and quality, with 11 Gold, 57 Silver and 6 Bronze medals awarded to the 92 oils entered.
