Olives New Zealand have provided a reminder that New Zealand producers will be affected by the implementation of the new Food Act 2014. Some elements of the Act are already in force, with the remainder being implemented between now and 1 March 2015. For those selling olive oil, National Program Level 2 will apply, while for those making and selling table olives and other olive condiments, National Program Level 3 will apply. ONZ members can obtain assistance with developing their Food Safety Plan by using the template developed by Olives New Zealand, downloadable from their website here.
