Olives New Zealand reports that there have now been 50 oils sent to Australia for testing and that the list of certified EVOOs licensed to use the OliveMark on the website is being updated as new results are received – here.
The great news is that all oils tested thus far have been assessed as EVOO – a mark of the fantastic efforts of NZ growers and processors to produce high-quality locally-grown oil. Those just finishing their harvest are reminded that the timeframe from receipt of samples by Olives New Zealand to receipt of full testing results is 5-6 weeks, so samples should be submitted as soon as possible to enable the earliest use of the OliveMark on 2015 EVOO.
