Olio Bello confirmed its reputation as one of Australia’s emerging leaders in the production of organic extra virgin olive oil by receiving medals for all of its entries at the recent 2007 Perth Royal Show.

The boutique olive oil producer from Margaret River entered five products into the competition in the categories of mild, medium and robust and received two silver and three bronze medals. All five oils, sourced from a single grove, were awarded a medal. The two silver medals were for the Karunba in the Class 3 (production of oil 5000L or more) and Class 2 (production of oil 5000L or more).

The bronze medals were for the Romanza (production of oil 200-4999L), the Kalamata (production of oil 200-4999L) and the Adrianos (production of oil 200-4999L).

The annual competition, organised and supported by the West Australian Olive Council, attracted 88 entrants and featured around 155 samples of oil from across Western Australia and the East Coast.
