Olives New Zealand 2016 Certification is now open and all members should have received the appropriate documentation. This is also available on the website here.
ONZ EO Gayle Sheridan has fielded a number of queries regarding fees, and is pleased to confirm that they remain the same as last year – and are in fact unchanged since prior to 2012!
Olives NZ will receive sufficient information to advise on the intensity of oil samples, therefore there is now an Intensity section, shown as Mild, Medium or Intense as appropriate. This information will help in members deciding which class to enter in the NZ EVOO Awards and also in selling the oil.
Remember: the sooner oil is submitted, the sooner it can be certified and the sooner growers can use the OliveMark. This is the differentiator to show to consumers that the product has been certified as NZ EVOO and an important quality guarantee, so get your samples off soon!
