Growers across the country are keenly embracing the opportunity to gain Olives NZ Certification for their new season oils. EO Gayle Sheridan said that to date there have been 71 samples received for 2013 Certification, representing around 80,000 litres, a positive comparison with 2012’s total of 95 samples representing 42,120 litres. “The samples are coming in such that several shipments weekly are being made to DPI for testing, and their turnaround has been excellent. There is already a good number of 2013 retail stock sporting the OliveMark,” Sheridan said.
