The March round of Focus Grove Field Days was well attended by more than 100 Olives NZ members, including many new members and those from other regions. A new report is available on the website for those members unable to attend, along with an Interim Project Report and the first Fact Sheet on Disease Management – here.
ONZ EO Gayle Sheridan said the 2017 crop load has been reported as varied across much of the country and sparse/non-existent on some groves.
“By contrast the Focus Groves are looking really good – maybe that proactive spraying program and pruning regime work!!!”.
We’ll look closely at the FGP results in the June 2017 and following editions of the Australian & New Zealand Olivegrower & Processor industry journal.
