On Sunday, 7 October the Olive Producers of North East Victoria Inc will run a day of industry workshops. The morning session will cover pruning, particularly for mechanical harvesters, but with a range of hand held machines for those wanting to step up from hand harvesting. The session will include pruning advice and best types of equipment. After a BBQ lunch Gerhard Grasser from Agrisolutions will deal with ‘super composting’ with teas for improving and enriching good bacteria in the soil – a natural approach to soil health. Venue: The Wicked Virgin, 165 Hopetoun Road, Rutherglen, 10am- 4pm. All interested parties welcome. Cost is $50 for non-OPNEV members, including lunch.
