Australian extra virgin olive oil and table olive producers were awarded with 76 medals at the 2012 Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards. Victorian producers fared particularly well, taking home four gold medals, 19 silver and 34 bronze for their extra virgin olive oils and, one gold, one silver and two bronze for their table olives. Gold medals were awarded to Lisadurne Hill, Manzanillo Grove, Lighthouse Olive Oil, Alto Olives and Lauriston Olive Oil for their extra virgin olive oils and to Salute Olives and Summerland Olives for their table olives. The competition was well supported, with 95 olive oil entries received and 18 for table olives.
