Awards were spread across the country at this year’s AOA national EVOO and Table Olives Competition, proving once again the consistently high quality of Australian olive producers. Best Table Olive of Show was won by New South Wales producer Alto Olives, while Best Oil of Show went to Tasmania’s Cradle Coast Olives. Class champions included Rochford Hall Olive Oil and Cradle Coast Olives, both from Tasmania, Victorian producers Mount Bernard Olives and Mount Zero Olives, and New South Wales producer New Mediterranean. Table olive class champion awards went to New South Wales’ Alto Olives (2), South Australian producers The Australian Olive Company (2) and Talinga Grove, and Victoria’s Salute Olives. Congratulations to all medal and award winners.

We’ll bring you more detail on the awards, and the 2015 national industry conference, in the December edition of Olivegrower & Processor.
