EVOO took table space precedence over lunch for AOA Code of Practice (OliveCare™) Administrator Peter McFarlane last week, as he prepared the dispatch of 2017 EVOO Market Survey samples. The latest survey will see 52 Australian and imported olive oil products labelled as EVOO tested for quality parameters against the Australian Standard at the DPI Wagga Wagga laboratory. They will also be tested for chemical residues and contaminants at the National Measurement Institute.
The results will be announced in August – we’ll report back in Friday Olive Extracts then, and look more closely at the results in the September edition of Olivegrower & Processor.
