To help growers and others in bushfire-affected areas access key information and assistance at this incredibly difficult time, Hort Innovation has brought key links and resources together on a dedicated bushfire information page – http://www.horticulture.com.au/bushfires.

The page is being updated regularly as more resources become available, and links to a comprehensive range of practical recovery information including:

  • bushfire recovery resources and guides
  • support services, including on-farm assistance
  • where to go to access financial, legal and other support.

The practical bushfire recovery information covers general horticulture/agriculture recovery, along with a range of hort industry-specific resources, to assist those affected in managing your agricultural land following a bushfire.

Practical support resources include links to assistance in rebuilding fences and other structures damaged or destroyed by bushfires on your property, emergency water provisions and replacement of essential water used during bushfire fighting operations, and support for those with livestock.

The site also has direct links to all State and Territory bushfire maps, which provide real-time updates and alerts on bushfire threats and emergencies. Many of these websites also contain links to bushfire preparedness information, to assist growers with planning for future events.
