The olive industry Strategic Investment Advisory Panel (SIAP) has been appointed by Horticulture Innovation Australia (HIA). The appointment of panel members was a rigorous process, which included a nationally advertised call for Expressions of Interest and an independent selection process based on the needs of the industry investment program. Members are: Leandro Ravetti, Tim Smith, Lisa Rowntree, Paul Miller, Grant Wylie, Rita Bikins, Kevin Withear, Peter Herborn, Michael Harbison and Robert Spooner-Hart. HIA will also be seeking advice of other olive industry experts as required. The SIAP will come together periodically to identify projects and research which would benefit the industry, which will then be sent out to tender by HIA.
