The Australian Olive Association will organise the National Olive Conference & Trade Exhibition – producers across Australia will be attending in order to get to know the latest innovations as well as enjoying the trade show, which will bring together various exhibitors related to the oil industry in the country.
This year the Australian Olive Association is taking the Australian National Olive Industry Conference and Trade Exhibition to beautiful Geelong, Victoria, from the third to the fifth of October. Geelong is an affordable destination that is easy to drive to, being 101 km from Melbourne airport and 21.6 km from Avalon Airport.

- The topics are chosen specifically to address common issues growers are faced with whilst also providing information about what is happening around the world. The Panel Sessions on Day 2 will be covering many of the practical aspects of grove management and provide a good opportunity to interact with speakers.

Georgia Rasmussen has over 20 years experience as a business manager and consumer direct marketing professional with the majority of her experience residing in the wine category. She has a strong record of building success and managing consumer direct marketing businesses in the USA and Australia. She advises on technology platforms, marketing/communication strategies and analytics to drive business performance, and regularly speaks at both direct marketing and winery seminars on these topics.
HEALTH: Jose Antonio Amerigo
Dr Amerigo is a retired physician and renowned olive researcher who established the Oleocanthal International Society (OIS) in Spain. He has dedicated his time to promoting preventative medicine through nutrition as the best way to “cure” disease. Dr Amerigo actively encourages the use of high phenolic olive products in our daily diet and will be talking about the specific health benefits of the health-promoting phenolic compound oleocanthal as well as other healthy compounds found in EVOO.
