Winners of the 2015 New York International Olive Oil Competition (NYIOOC) have just been announced, with local producers once again making our industry’s mark on the international stage. Australian producer Boundary Bend took home the highest-ever number of awards with nine, including two Best in Class, for its Cobram Estate oils produced in Australia and the United States — an achievement competition organiser Curtis Cord called “simply astounding.” Boutique New South Wales producer Alto Olives also excelled, rivaling with its own two Best of Class Awards. Other Gold awards for Australia went to Cape Schank Olive Estate and Boundary Bend, and to New Zealand producers Lot 8 and Virtuo, and Silver medals to Camilo Estate and Boundary Bend. Congratulations to all on a fantastic result – you’ve done us proud! See the full results here
