The entry period for the ATHENA International Olive Oil Competition has been extended and entries can now be submitted until March 8. Judged by international experts from across the globe, the ATHENA competition will award Gold, Silver, Bronze and also Double Gold medalss, for oils receiving 95.5–100/100 points. A range of special awards will also be given, including: Highest score, Best per country of origin, Best single varietal, Best entry per variety, Best blended (multi-varietal) olive oil, Best Koroneiki oil (worldwide), Best Greek Koroneiki oil, Best οrganic extra virgin olive oil (worldwide), Best Greek organic extra virgin olive oil, Best olive oil produced by a winemaker (same estate) and Best Greek olive oil per region.
