The Australian Olive Association (AOA) board has been approach by a few imported olive oil brands who wish to be recognised by the AOA as meeting the Australian Standard for Olive and Olive Pomace Oils.  AOA CEO, Lisa Rowntree, said the move is very encouraging and that the board have welcomed their enthusiasm, which confirms the importance of the standard as a guarantee of olive oil quality and authenticity.  Rowntree said the board will discuss the concept in further detail in coming weeks.
