Hort Innovation Regulatory Affairs – Crop Protection Manager Jodie Pedrana has advised that an extension of the Sivanto Prime registration label was approved by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) on 15 August 2022, as an outcome of various Hort Innovation projects.

The label extension includes:

Olives:

  • Olive lace bug
  • Black scale

Tropical and sub-tropical fruits, inedible peel (excluding bananas, pineapples):

  • Banana spotting bug (Amblypelta lutescens)
  • Fruit spotting bug (Amblypelta nitida)
  • Green planthopper (Siphanta spp.)
  • Mango planthopper (Colgaroides acuminata)

The new label registration expires on 30 June 2026.

Projects involved

ST17000 – Generation of Data for Pesticide Applications in Horticulture Crops 2018

This project outcome has been funded by Hort Innovation, using the olive research and development levy and contributions from the Australian Government.

MT12024 – The development of DC-092 for the control of spotting bug in macadamia nut and tropical inedible peel crops.

This multi-industry project has been funded by Hort Innovation (Previously Horticulture Australia Limited) using voluntary contributions from Bayer Crop Science and matched funds from the Australian Government.

ST19020 – Generation of Data for Pesticide Applications in Horticulture Crops – 2020.

This multi-industry strategic project has been funded by Hort Innovation, using research and development levy, co-investment from the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment and contributions from the Australian Government.
