Businesses in South Australia can currently apply for assistance through the SA Micro Finance Fund (SAMFF). The project aims to make South Australia more globally competitive by enhancing its innovation capabilities through entrepreneurship: by supporting businesses looking to take new ideas through to production and sales, the SAMFF aims to generate export revenue and growth. The SAMFF offers 2:1 funding of up to $50,000 ($2 of funding per $1 raised), with eligible activities and expenditure including:
• development of products, services or processes, including prototype development and technology feasibility testing
• marketing activities and market research
• filing of provisional patent application or the development of an intellectual property strategy
• other expenditure as approved by the Department of State Development
