The tenth anniversary program of Extra Virgin Olive Oil Savantes in Sevilla, Spain in March 2010 attracted importers and producers of extra virgin olive oils from all corners of the globe, providing an excellent exchange of market information and supply-chain trends.
Participants attended to enhance their tasting skills, obtain independent assessment of their olive oils, experience the international range of flavours, gain entry into new markets or find new products for their expanding import and distribution businesses.
Almost 100 extra virgin olive oils were available for tasting during the three-day program and, for the first time in 10 years, no faults were detected – an indication of the greater emphasis on quality.
