The FOE and Olivegrower team regularly have enquiries from people looking for small-batch processors: it’s not uncommon for ‘home’ olive growers to want to produce their own oil, and weather-induced small grove crops are also an increasingly common occurrence. So we’ve put a register together and we’re looking to include all processors across Australia and New Zealand willing and able to process small batches of olives. If this is you, please send your details to editor Gerri Nelligan at wordsync@bigpond.com. Please include contact and pricing details, minimum quantities required, and whether you will crush individually or on a “mix and percentage” basis. We’ve had a good response so far, and have already been able to refer growers to processors, but want to make the register as complete as possible. Please send us your details so we can add you to the list – it could mean valuable additional work for your business. In particular, we’d love to hear from small batch processors in South Australia and Queensland.
