The New Zealand olive fraternity has been saddened by the recent passing of industry stalwart Mike Cooper. Mike retired from an academic career at Otago University to take up the ‘good life’ in Martinborough with his wife Joy, producing medal-winning EVOO under the Molive Gold label. Highly regarded by his olive industry peers, Mike was a regular attendee at Olives New Zealand functions and regional activities. His friendly nature and cheery smile will be sadly missed.
