The 2020 AOA National Olive Industry Conference closes with an additional evening session on Friday, featuring the 2020 Australian International Olive Awards Virtual Gala Presentation.

The annual awards are an important part of the industry’s commitment to ongoing quality improvement, acknowledging the efforts of growers, producers and processors in achieving product excellence. This year saw judging undertaken internationally by panels in six countries across the globe, providing an unprecedented opportunity for recognition and the marketing benefits that follow.

The 2020 Australian International Olive Awards (AIOA) medal winners were announced on 5 October and elated producers across Australia and beyond have spent the past week celebrating their hard-earned Gold, Silver and/or Bronze medals. Now the final countdown is on, with just three days until the major award winners for 2020 are revealed.

Like the Conference, the AIOA Presentation will be a virtual event this year, being held online on Friday, 16 October from 5.30pm. And while we’ll all be in our own spaces, it’s sure to be a fun event as AIOA Head Steward Trudie Michels and MC Kent Hallett guide us through the excitement, suspense and celebrations as the results unfold.

Best of luck to all medal winners now in the running for a major award. Your fellow industry members, friends and supporters will all be ‘Zooming’ in to find out who takes home this year’s coveted AIOA Best of Show awards – and to recognise and celebrate the achievements of the industry’s best producers.

The AIOA Gala Presentation is sponsored by the New South Wales Department of Primary Industries
