Olives SA is running a bus tour to the Fleurieu Peninsula on May 7, experiencing the harvesting and processing of olives and viewing a state-of-the-art bottling plant. Departing at 9am and returning at around 5pm, the program also visits the Finniss region, joining an annual family fun day hosted by Nangkita Olives. Learn to pick, plant, prune, press and pickle the olives of the Fleurieu Peninsula from a host of the best local growers, joined by allied food producers from the region adding local wine, lamb and wood-fired pizzas to the mix.

Food and beverages are included for tour participants – unlimited spit roast, wood fired pizza, cheese, side dishes and Nangkita Ridge Wines – and the total cost is just $70, including coach transport, site visits and lunch. Seats are limited and organisers are currently calling for expressions of interest before finalising logistics. Participants will then be contacted with full details and payment options once numbers are confirmed.
