The report on the first trial round of The Tastebook, the AOA-funded industry training program, has been released. The trial involved EVOO and table olive samples being sent to 160 participants for sensory assessment, with the aim of stimulating an industry conversation on EVOO and table olive quality, sensory assessment and product descriptors.
The Tastebook Round 2 will take place this month and is open to existing participants who responded in Round 1 or have requested to remain in the program. AOA members, competition judges, Associate and Young Judges in particular are invited to apply to participate.
If you’re keen to take part and were not able to respond to Tastebook Round 1, or if you were overlooked in the first round, please email Shane Cummins at wizardofolives@hotmail.com or Peter McFarlane at peter@mc.com.au to register, with the request “Please include me in The Tastebook Round 2” – and also include a postal address to send samples.
