The next AgSkilled Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Human Resources (HR) Fundamentals course will begin this month, providing participants with the essentials to develop and fine tune your farming business’s WHS & HR.
Provided by the NSW Department of Primary Industries and Tocal College, this course is designed for business owners, managers and supervisors looking to develop skills and knowledge in:
- WHS and staff management in your business
- the foundations of a great WHS management system
- your legal obligations as an employer
- attracting and retaining staff
- managing staff performance
- developing systems and paperwork that are practical but compliant
The training will be held online over 16 weeks, comprising recorded and written content and 10 live webinars.
Entry requirements
To be eligible for the fee free training, applicants must:
- be an owner, manager or supervisor (or those aspiring to these roles) with a minimum of 5 years’ industry experience;
- have appropriate level of literacy, computer access and skills and connectivity to complete the online learning wnload speeds).
Note: completion of all components is required – if you have previously completed the WHS module, credit can be sought. The WHS module must be completed prior to the Staff Management Modules.
