The ACCC is running a free webinar for Australian food businesses, looking at the new Country of Origin Food Labelling (CoOL) Information Standard. ACCC Deputy Chair Dr Michael Schaper will join representatives from peak industry groups for the webinar, which will focus on the practical issues for businesses complying with the new food labelling requirements, which become mandatory on 1 July 2018.

The webinar will cover topics including: when a country of origin claim is needed; the definitions of ‘grown’, ‘produced’, ‘made’ and ‘packed’; content percentage calculations; and enforcement.
